We are seeking a visionary and hands-on Product Design Lead to elevate the user experience of Praktika’s innovative language learning app. This role will involve setting and refining Praktika’s design language, developing a cohesive design system, and leading a talented team of designers. Working closely with Product, Development, and Education teams, the Product Design Lead will ensure that Praktika’s interface is intuitive, engaging, and meets the high standards of edutainment/gaming experiences that set us apart. The ideal candidate is a leader and practitioner, passionate about blending functionality with aesthetic appeal.

Your days will be filled by:

— Design System Development: Envision, build, and maintain Praktika’s design system, ensuring consistent, scalable UI components across all platforms, highlighting the product's innovative vision and positioning on the market.

— Hands-On UI/UX Design: Develop and refine core UI elements, user flows, and interactive features that optimize the learning experience and drive user engagement.

— User-Centered Prototyping: Design and test prototypes that reflect our learning goals, incorporating user feedback and analytics to iterate on designs.

— Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Product, Development, and Methodology teams to bring a cohesive vision to life, ensuring seamless design handoff and alignment with Praktika’s educational objectives.

— Team Leadership and Mentorship: Guide and inspire a team of designers, fostering a culture of creativity, growth, and excellence in every aspect of design.

— Design Quality Standards: Establish and uphold Praktika’s standards for edutainment design, ensuring a balance of visual appeal, usability, and educational impact.

— Data-Informed Design Decisions: Leverage user insights and performance metrics to drive iterative improvements in design, enhancing usability and engagement.

You would be a great fit for the role if:

— 5+ years of experience in a senior or lead design role, ideally in mobile gaming or edtech products.

— Proven experience with creating and maintaining a design system in a fast-paced environment.

— Exceptional problem-solving skills and an innovative approach to design challenges.

— Strong proficiency in design, prototyping, and animation tools, such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.

— Deep understanding of UX principles, interaction design, and accessibility standards.

— Strong leadership skills, with experience in mentoring and elevating a design team.
