We're Milk & Cartoons, a team working on a few products for ourselves and for clients in the US and Canada. Our stack includes JavaScript/TypeScript, React for the web, React Native for mobile apps, Node.js on the server, GraphQL for APIs, Next.js, RedwoodJS and Meteor frameworks.

We're Looking For:

— JavaScript and Node.js Knowledge: understand the basics of JavaScript and Node.js and be ready to use them in building web apps.

— English Skills: be able to read in English. If you can write or speak it, that's a bonus!

— Git Skills: knowing how to use git is important.

— Experience: Some previous work on commercial projects before is required. We welcome interns who are excited to work on real products.

How We Work:

— Our working hours are flexible, you can work when you want.

— We don't have daily meetings and only call when we really need to.

— Development process: get a task, create a branch, code, test, make a pull request, get it reviewed, merge, and deploy.

— Grow skills as we work on interesting and challenging tasks.

Interview Process at Milk & Cartoons:

— Initial chat on Telegram.

— 15-minute call to learn more about each other.

— 20-minute live Node.js task to show us your skills in action with a short JS exercise.

— 20-30 minute call to learn a bit more about each other and talk about JS.

— Optional offline task. Sometimes, we might ask for an additional task to be done in your own time.

— If it's a match, we'll make you an offer to join us.
